A beautiful Sunday found me washing my car and my husband cleaning the boat in preparation for it's long winter nap. When he finished he came in the house asking if anyone was interested in one last boat ride?
Peanut couldn't get in the boat fast enough.
Would you like to join us?All aboard . . . here we go.
The sun was shining and the water was calm. No Dramamine needed today :-)
Look at all the sailboats.
If I lived in this house I think I would have trouble leaving that fabulous wraparound porch.
Here's another pretty house that sat out on a point. I can imagine it would be a great spot to watch the sun set.
The trees look so pretty when they reflect their autumn colors into the water.
Thanks for joining me on one last cruise before we sail into winter.
This was a lovely ride! We've long since put our boat up for the winter. Here in Michigan we're expecting snow any day. Happy to take to the water with you, therefore!
Seeing these beautiful pictures from the boat suddenly brought back a flood of memories for me. My dad had a boat for years. We had so many wonderful, relaxing and fun cruises in that boat. I agree with you, it was the perfect way to say good bye to another season on the water. The homes you passed were quite lovely. I am so thankful I visited your blog this evening, because I loved having that flashback.
Very beautiful! Thank you for sharing! Oh! That house with the wrap around porch? That's mine! Well...not really! But I can dream! ~winking~ Love, Bonnie
I haven't been on a boat ride in 4 or 5 years. We had a boat when our children were teenagers, ...Oh, how they loved to water ski! Thanks for sharing your boat ride with us.
Beautiful pictures!!! You captured so much beauty....and cute little Peanut looks so happy.
I love to ride down the river in the fall. There is no better way to see the trees than when they are lined on the shore. We have a little dog like Peanut. She is a Fiest...and she is getting old, and more territorial by the day. She sticks so close to my husband you would think she was an appendage!
I think you found the perfect day to bid farewell to the boating season. It looks quite pleasant out there...as compared to the stormy week we are having. Beautiful views!
I'd also love the to own the house with the wrap around porch with that beautiful view.
Yellowstone nATIONAL pARK was absolutely amazing! I have lots of photos in my archives under the national parks label. Cody is the closest town to the east entrance to the park...nice little town!
Who could blame Peanut? And isn't he adorable! What an amazing sky. That moment will remain with you throughout the winter months until you can get the boat back out again.
Thanks for the lovely boat ride! I enjoyed it!
