~ Scratch and Sniff ~
How I wish you really could.
This was the scent that greeted me on my recent shopping trip to Salem Creek.
It brought to mind warm days ... outside ... sitting on the porch swing ... hearing a lawn mower off in the distance ... birds chirping ... gentle breezes...
Can you guess the scent??
Was this your guess??
Not only does it smell scrumptious, but it is so pretty too. The sugared lemon halves and beaded raspberries pair nicely with the little faux ice cubes.
The weather may be wintery, but inside I'm dreaming of spring. We had a taste of it yesterday when our temperatures went into the 60s. I got to play around in the garden for awhile and enjoyed pulling carrots and adding them to last night's salad.
Today, however, it is rainy and the temps are supposed to drop all week. Oh well, it was nice while it lasted.

Lovely, Kim. Harbingers of spring!!! Wish I could experience the scent with you!
ReplyDeleteWhat scrumptious colors...so vivid and what's not to love about yellow! I'd love to enjoy that refreshing aroma... Yes, it's supposed to get colder here all week, too, and after a high today of 45F. That was kind of nice and unseasonably pleasant.
ReplyDeleteOh Kim, I almost Did scratch and sniff! I am thinking spring thoughts, but it is 28 degrees here today! Have a nice week! Twyla
ReplyDeleteOh Kim, I can almost smell the fragrance........ !
ReplyDeleteI needed this post today. I needed a touch of Spring on this cold and overcast day. This potpourri is exceptionally beautiful, and I can almost smell it. I like how you took me to the porch with the sound of the lawnmower in the distance. Love that picture in my mind.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your kind comments on my blog today. I find myself looking forward to your visits.

Spring has come to Holland by the appearance of a typical Dutch winter weather. It is rainy, gray and very windy. But our bulbs are starting to come up and I have it on the highest authority that spring is here...the birds. :-)
