Just popping in to wish you all a Happy Memorial Day. It's been a rainy weekend in these parts. We may be grilling under the umbrella today. I've got my flag flying and when I look at it I can't help but take some time to remember the many people who have lost their lives while serving our country. Such brave people who gave so much to defend the freedom we enjoy in this country. I will always be grateful to them and to all of the men and women who are currently serving.
Well, I'm off to make my potato salad. Before I go I wanted to share the babies latest photo. While my husband and I ate our dinner on the patio on Friday we were entertained by the momma bluebird flying back and forth feeding her little family. We could also hear the little "cheep, cheep, cheeping" coming from the birdhouse. We couldn't miss this photo op. If you click the picture it should enlarge and you will be able to see some of the blue feathers are starting to come in. So sweet. I think it won't be long until they will be flying the coop.
How sweet Kim...so fun that you have been able to watch their growth!
ReplyDeleteOnce again, you captured special moments. What joy to watch them grow. Maybe we will be fortunate enough to see photos of their progress. Maybe???
ReplyDeleteI am making potato salad...right now! We are having BBQ, potato salad, baked beans and strawberry milkshakes later! Enjoy your day! Sweet little birdies!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day even if it is under the umbrella. Those baby birds really are getting some nice color.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful post Kim...may you have a great memorial day my friend...hugs and smiles Gl♥ria
ReplyDeleteBeautiful post! It's rainy in our part of the country, too. We celebrated last night with dinner at my in-laws. Today is a quiet, peaceful, reflective day. I'm going to stop by and visit my parents shortly.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing those sweet babies. They are precious. What
a treat to watch them grow. = )
Blessings,
Tracy

ReplyDeleteWe are having that rain right now. Very windy too. I haven't walked yet - I'll go later when the rain lets up a bit.
How thankful I am too for all the military men and woman. My husband is one of them - 20 years in the Navy!
Beautiful baby bluebirds, Kim! Hope you had a nice Memorial Day weekend, despite the rain.
ReplyDeleteHugs,

Kim,
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog. I like your photos of the American flag and the baby bluebirds. We have four baby bluebirds and I am so excited to see how they grow and take off learning how to fly. Please visit my blog and leave a comment at: http://blueridgepoet.blogspot.com
Oh, I love my bluebirds. They laid eggs in their house, but I never saw the babies. I hope something didn't get the eggs!

Cute, cute babies. I'm sorry you were having trouble commenting. I've had that happen to me on other blogs while trying to comment. It's frustrating, I know.
ReplyDeleteHow's your Mom doing?
Love your flag and hope you had a good holiday.
