Isn't it interesting how a little thing like clean windows can make your whole outlook on life a lot brighter?
I knew we were long overdue for a window cleaning around here. Once the film was gone and the cobwebs were swept away, I wondered why we hadn't done this a while ago ... okay, more like a long time ago. What a huge difference. Who would have thought you could get a smile on your face just from looking at your windows? Well, I'm here to tell you that it worked for me this weekend. I suppose the beautiful weather and the Carolina blue skies may have helped too. If there's such a thing as a perfect fall day ~ we had it here on Saturday. I hope your weekend was filled with happy moments.
My grandma and my mother would be so proud of you on this post today! They both preached the clean window philosophy to us growing up, and really I do now appreciate it. This picture you shared is truly one of the most inspiring pictures, in my mind, of wanting clean windows. Really, it is a BEAUTIFUL reflection of how clean windows can brighten a day. Great post my friend!!!
ReplyDeleteWe had a glorious day here in SC Saturday, as well. We went to an antique car show and I got sun burned.
ReplyDeleteWe just finished doing ceilings and in our bedrooms. So glad it's done. It's almost as bad as moving. lol (Pictures and things on the wall have to come down and all.
Enjoy your day!
It's rain today for us.
What a great idea...you've inspired me, too! With the cooler weather, it's not as ominous a task. I hope to be able to do this soon, too...yours look great!

We had some much needed rain in south Texas ... over the weekend.
Have a good week!
Okay, I am feeling rather guilty now! I think my windows need a nice little clean-up as well!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful view you have now :-)
It was a fabulous weekend! And now rainy day Monday! But I need to get things done inside so I'm happy! Have a wonderful day! Your windows are beautiful and all your pretty things!
ReplyDeleteWe had a fabulous Saturday here in NE Texas too. The weather was perfect. That doesn't happen around here often.
ReplyDeleteOur windows need cleaning so bad. I just keep putting that on the back burner. Yours look so nice, they may inspire me to clean mine.
Hugs!
We have had those beautiful days here in MD to and today is another one.

I love clean windows. And not easy to keep here in the desert. enjoy your week, looking through clear glass...at least for a week or so!!
ReplyDeleteI notice the same thing when my windows are clean, Kim. What a difference. And your pretty blue decorations look wonderful at the window.
ReplyDeleteI agree, we had perfect weather on the weekend, lovely autumn days.
Hugs,

Hi Kim,
ReplyDeleteHow pretty with the blue sky showing through your clean window (so Shinny). I love clean windows too. We will be doing ours next weekend, since we are hosting my Dad's 80th Birthday Party. We had our first fall day on Sat. it was so lovely, I really enjoyed it.
Take care,
Elizabeth
Absolutely! I started on my windows last week and was amazed. It's rainy now but as soon as it stops I will get back to work. The sun just sparkles when the windows are clean.
ReplyDeleteThose skies are beautiful! I last cleaned my windows at the beginning of the summer but I suppose once the rain stops I should have another go at them!

I can't imagine a more beautiful weekend. The weather is so gorgeous right now and the trees are starting to turn. I think it's going to be a beautiful fall. Your clean windows are an inspiration. Hope you are enjoying your day. Twyla
ReplyDeleteI really need to clean my windows. Yours are so pretty. I might in a day or two. LOL!
ReplyDeleteNow that's one clean window! And such a pretty view as well. Enjoy the wonderful sense of accomplishment that comes from a job well done. :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blue window decoration :)
ReplyDeleteI wish my windows were clean like yours...
Nice blog:)
Kim, I just love having my windows clean in the fall. Looking out at all the beautiful leaves changing just makes me feel good.
ReplyDeleteI have no excuse for not having clean windows because mine tilt down to clean. I've even found out my grandson loves to clean windows.
Hugs, Gretchen
That is one way to get a new perspective...clean the windows. I did the same over here last week...and the views are much better now.
ReplyDeleteWishing you many more blue skies!
We're thinking alike I see. I even considered going out in the rain to wash windows outside. Even though I have tilt-ins, sometimes I like to do it the old-fashioned way...a hose, a bucket of soapy water, and some Jet-Dry. Hope that all has been well with you this autumn, Kim.
