A Flower Story & A Giveaway

It all began with a bouquet of flowers.
The limelight hydrangeas are blooming and that meant an early morning trip outside with pruners in hand.  I look forward to seeing them all year, so when they come a callin' I welcome them with open arms.

To let them know that they are loved and appreciated, I  placed them front and center on the kitchen island.  In anticipation of their arrival I went to work scrubbing the counters and clearing the clutter.  Some of the knick knacks went up to the attic.

But, a few were left out in strategic spots.
This happy little mug was something I couldn't pass up at the thrift shop this week.

Paired with a few other old treasures, it makes me smile :).

It not only began with a bouquet of flowers...
it ended with one too.
The black-eyed susans are also blooming now.
They remind me of an "out in the country" flower.

They asked me if they could come in with the limelights.  Said they'd like to hang out on the kitchen table with a few other country things.  Who am I to argue with a flower ;-).

Now, about that giveaway . . .

I was contacted by CSN Stores and asked if I would like to do a giveaway.  Of course I couldn't turn down a generous offer like that, so here are the details.

They will give to one lucky winner a $60 gift card which may be used at any of their websites. The gift card may be used once and does not cover shipping costs. I was doing a little looking around at some of their sites this morning. I visited their dining room  site.  I dream of new furniture in my dining room.  My husband thinks the stuff we have is fine, so for now we will keep it.  But, hey a girl can dream, can't she?  I also  spent a lot of time looking around at cookware.com which is another one of their sites.  They have over 200 of them!!!  Shouldn't make it too difficult to spend that $60, should it?

If you would like to enter, please leave a comment on this post.  I will announce the winner on July 24th.  Good luck to all who enter and thank you CSN Stores for making this giveaway possible.

  2. Your hydrangeas are just beautiful and the yellow picnic basket vignette it way cute. I passed up a wooden picnic basket at Goodwill last week and didn't even think about painting it in a yummy color. I could kick myself now cuz you know it's long gone. Oh well, the hunt is half the fun. Your home is beautiful. Blessings, Patty

  8. Your black-eyed susans look so perfect on your kitchen table. Really, it does look like a magazine picture. I understand about wanting to change your dining room, and having your husband's comment. That scenario could take place here in this home.

As for the fun and so generous giveaway. Thank you for the opportunity. Can't believe you are offering this.
