Note Card Party Time

It's time once again for the Note Card Party at Vee's haven.
Click here if you'd like more information.
In honor of the first day of summer I'm going with a
Relax and Enjoy the Garden theme.

Sometimes we get so busy planting, weeding, mowing and watering that we forget to stop and just enjoy the fruits of our labor.
Today you have my permission ;-) to take a break from the work and head out to the garden with a good book.

Sometimes it's nice to just sit and enjoy nature...
the bunnies hopping, the birds busily making homes for their babies, butterflies fluttering, flowers growing, wind chimes chiming ...

Perhaps you'd rather take a dip in the pool.

or sit and enjoy a good conversation with a friend.

Thanks for stopping by.
Wishing you a happy, fun-filled and relaxing summer :).

As always, thanks to Vee for hosting this fun party.

Note:  all photos taken at my husband's Aunt Barbara's house.  She was an avid gardener, loved antiques and had a real flair for decorating.  Having raised five boys, her home was always a lively place to be.  Sadly she passed away eight months after these photos were taken.  I'm sure she is tending the gardens in heaven now.

  27. Hi Kim! So glad you visited me at The Writer's Reverie for my first Note Card Party post. It was fun to come up with it and I've enjoyed visiting others - thinking theme for next month. I have really enjoyed my visit with you and your recent posts - especially the bluebird post. So sad about the other eggs. We have wrens who do that in our yard - didn't know the sparrows did it, too. How do these little guys survive - but for the Lord!
    Joy!

  30. If you packaged each of your picture notecards, I would be the first in line to purchase them. Really, what a gifted lady you are to be able to capture true beauty and then use your camera to share it with us. When I have a few extra moments, I would love to do Vee's notecards. All the ladies amaze me with their chose of selections.

Right now, I would love to catch a plane and join you in your aunt's lovely pool area. Another visit with you as added joy to my day.

  35. You can tell Aunt Barbara loved her garden. I was so taken with the statue of the little girl with braids reading her book. I was looking at myself at that age. Out in the garden on the bench reading my Nancy Drew Mystery books. (I still have them). Such a beautiful post. Thanks for visiting my blog too. I awoke this morning to a buck deer sleeping outside my studio.

  36. Hi Kim!

I love that statue and have been looking for one just like it. Good thing I live nowhere near Aunt Barbara's house...lol. She had a beautiful garden. How nice that it can come to life again for a little while on your blog.

I have started a new blog as mine was full and hope to see you there...
