Those Darn Jelly Beans

I may or may not have been brushing my teeth after eating a few too many jelly beans when I noticed I was surrounded by a beautiful pink reflection in the mirror.  It seems the redbud tree outside the bathroom window has come into full bloom this week.
It's adding a real pop of color to my all white room.
Since I know it won't last long I thought a picture was in order.

Because I may or may not have eaten a few too many jelly beans, I think it's time to wake Peanut up and head out for a walk.

Usually I send leftover holiday candy to the office so I won't be tempted.  I know it always gets eaten there.  These jelly beans may or may not be headed there tomorrow.  It will all depend on whether there's any left by then :D.

  1. That tree is gorgeous, Kim, and your doggie is so cute. I had my share of those darn jelly beans myself and got rid of them! I am sipping a cup of Green Mountain Coffee "Island Coconut" Limited Edition coffee now. Yum. Hoping it will do the trick. It tastes like coconut. xo

  2. The red bud is beautiful. There are a few of them over by the lake but not blooming yet.

Jelly beans or any food sounds good to me today. I'm fasting for my procedure tomorrow. : ( Lots of clear liquids for me today.

  3. Such a pretty tree to watch while brushing your teeth! No jelly beans around here, but the chocolate keeps hollering at me.

  4. I sent all of the leftover candy back to college with my son. He and his roomates will make short work of it, I'm sure. He jogs every day, so it' won't affect him the way it would affect me.
The redbud tree is gorgeous! We have one just outside my office window. It's going to be a few weeks before we have any blooms though. We finally got rid of the snow about three days ago.

  11. How beautiful your tree is. Wish they could stay that way longer.
Peanut looks like he had to much Easter dinner and needed to take a little nap. He is so cute.

  12. Oh, I hear you! I have a basket of leftover Easter candies sitting here in plain view...and it's time they found a new home.

    Pretty tree!

  13. More smiles for my Wednesday, because I visited here. I am not a jelly bean fan, but I can relate in other ways. You are brave to let them sit there in full view. The tree is gorgeous!

  14. We bought my son a big jar of Jelly Belly Jelly Beans for Easter and it has been such a temptation to "taste" just a few. So far, I've been very good, but like you, I really like jelly beans. That tree is just beautiful! Enjoy the rest of your week!

  15. I love the red bud! Can't wait until they bloom here. We lost one of ours during winter. Don't you wish they would stay in bloom, at least for a couple of months?
Peanut is so cute. Have a good week!

  17. It is so amazing how FAST a tree can go from bare branches to full bloom and from green to bright orange in the fall.

  18. What a lovely blog you have! I had to search "kitchen" because that is my favorite room, and yours is beautiful. I love your little chef stove :). Hubs and I too have to be careful about sweets; sometimes we bake a cream cheese pound cake and have been known to eat it in just a couple of days between the two of us-naughty! I will be back to check out more of your blog!
