Fluffin' and Sprucin'

I'm doing a bit of featherin' today.  Featherin' my nest that is.  It seems that with all the time spent working outside in the garden, the nest is looking a bit neglected.

This morning it is raining.  So while mother nature takes care of things outside, I will be inside shinin' and sprucin'.

Washin' and ironin'.

I'm so glad I cut some peonies before the rain got to them.  It will be nice to enjoy them up close and personal as I whiz by them with the vacuum and dust rag.

I've got my work cut out for me today, but I don't mind.  In fact I'm kinda looking forward to it.  Since my husband won't be home for dinner, I'll be working along at my own pace.  A little work, a coffee break, some more work, a blog break :-).  No pressure here today.

  14. We're having a turn of cool, rainy weather. I hate to admit it, but I've had to turn the heat on a couple of times! Still, the lawn and gardens are lush and green and the farmers are preparing the fields here in the food belt. Covet the sunshine!

  16. How do you do it? How do you take simple chores of fluffin' and sprucin' and create a gorgeous and appealing post? What beautiful pictures you shared of your home. The first one stands out to me, with the colorful glass and the light reflecting off of it. Well, come to think of it, they all stand out to me. I have always liked seeing perfectly pressed linens. Reminds me of my grandma. I can still hear her words as we ironed in the living room..."make sure you don't press any of the wrinkles into the pieces you are ironing." You did a great job on that lovely blue and white linen. Hope your day is going well for you. I am so thankful I stopped to visit your blog.
