Since a few of you asked where I got the hot chocolate set in my last post, I thought I'd pop in and answer that question.
I was thrilled to find it earlier this fall at a local consignment shop. I thought it would be right at home near my blue and white snowman tree. I love that it even has a little bowl to keep your marshmallows in. The box it came in says it was originally purchased at Dillard's. I don't know if they still carry them. I tried to look on the Dillard's website today, but didn't find much in the way of Christmas decor.
Speaking of snowmen, I wanted to share a picture of the snowman my son and his girlfriend built the day after Christmas.
Our temperatures are predicted to reach 60 on Saturday, so I'm enjoying him while he lasts.
Why anyone would put that adorable hot chocolate set in a consignment ship is beyond me. It is absolutely adorable. As is the snowman built by your son and his girlfriend. Happy day to you. Tammy
ReplyDeleteThat's one fine looking snowman! They did well. :-)
ReplyDeleteSnowmen are just so cool - the symbol of Winter at its best! Enjoy!

I love making a snowman with fresh snow!! The one your son and his girlfriend made is wonderful! Enjoy him while you can!
ReplyDeleteHello! I love the pretty set and your *real* snowman. How precious! We got the snowfall here as well. It was neat to see.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the super nice comment you left me on my resolution post. I read it out loud to my hubby and he thanks you too. You just made my night. I am excited to be eating healthy once again. Over indulging for the holiday was fun while it lasted but not for the long term.
Happy New Year! ~Melissa :)
The cute snowman set makes me drool....it's cute as can be, but sure makes me want some hot chocolate.
ReplyDeleteYour son, his girlfriend and 'the snowman' are the best of all!
Hugs,
Great looking snowman! It is kind of fun watching them melt, too. It is interesting how the shape changes...and it takes longer than you think.
ReplyDeleteThose are so cute...definitely a great find. Cute snowman outside, too.
ReplyDeleteThat is one big snowman!
ReplyDeleteWondering if a set could be found on eBay.
What a perfect find for you at the consignment shop. I bet you were thrilled to discover that cute snowman set. It fits just right into your soft blue and white theme. The snowman your son and his girlfriend built should go in your rare photos file...such a large snowman in your part of the world is definitely a rare happening. I feel for the guy though, knowing the temps are hitting 60 degrees. He is probably now only a memory.
ReplyDeleteDear Kim...your sweet little snowman set is the cutest! Such a sweet picture of your son and his girlfriend! New Year blessings to you and yours! Hugs ♥ Teri
ReplyDeleteOh, the days when I was raising kids in Oklahoma and their snowmen. That sure is a cute cocoa set. Happy New Years!

What a lucky find!! That set is just too cute. I'll be on the look-out for something similar to go with my snowmen plates although it looks better with yours.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing BOTH snowmen! LOL
This is an adorable hot chocolate set, and the real snowman is fantastic!
ReplyDeleteWishing you and your family a very happy and healthy 2011!

ReplyDeleteKim, Thank you for sharing your LW story with me. I thought for sure I would be embarrassing myself to death by my revelation, and here I am beyond delighted to find what a sweet memory he was for so many. Your comment touched my heart! Elizabeth
ReplyDeleteI'm happy your dreams came true! Beautiful snow pics.
ReplyDeleteAnd thank you for your visit and kind words!
That photo of your son and girlfriend is so sweet! We also love your header!
ReplyDeleteHow'd I miss this? You know I've never seen a set that was specifically made for hot chocolate? (Even though I am the proud owner of a vintage cocoa pot.)
ReplyDeleteIs the snowman still with you or is he a warm and happy memory?
I love the snowman set. I find my best deals like this at thrift stores. I love it when I can find a full set of something fun.
