A quick post with a pathetic title.
The new year was off to a nice start and blog post ideas were beginning to form ... until ...
Last Thursday when a return of sciatica took my mind off of everything except the pain running from my lower back to my ankle and this time it seems to be a real pain in the a**. The weekend has been spent trying to find a comfortable position for sitting, standing, walking, etc.
I'm not sure what brought this on. I'm thinking it might have been the car crash I was involved in right before Christmas. An inexperienced (17 year old) driver ran into the girl behind me who then slammed into me. My car received the least damage ($4000 worth).
Anyhow, I'm not looking for sympathy (well maybe I am :). I just wanted to explain my absence and lack of replying to comments. Trust me, I'd much rather be happily blogging away than doing this squirmy dance I am currently doing in this chair.
Until next time, I hope you are having a nice start to 2011.
Soo sorry you are suffering. May you find comfort and a comfortable position!
ReplyDeleteHi Kim,
ReplyDeleteHugs and Kisses for a quick
recovery from all you aches
and pains. We are all easing back
into a normal life after the
Holiday break. I still have visitors from interstate so its still busy time.
Keep smiling,

ReplyDeleteOh Kim...as a fellow sciatica sufferer I know how it is when that dang thing starts kicking. You were in an accident causing that much damage and you didn't say a word? My goodness. John's pastor was just in such an accident and it totaled his car at 5800. Ouch is right! Hope that you've got your ice pad at the ready and the doc's office on speed dial.
ReplyDeleteOh Kim..... I give you sympathy, hugs and hopes for a comfortable position..... that's a horrible pain....been there and don't want to go back.
ReplyDeleteTake care!
Hugs,
So sorry you are hurting. Oooh, back pain and stuff is the worst! Get better soon!!
ReplyDeletePoor girl! I've had that and it is very painful. Hope it clears up soon!
ReplyDeleteYou definitely get sympathy from me...my husband's is totally acting up again as well! Prayers for you both! I really do feel for you, my friend!
ReplyDeleteOh dear! So sorry to hear about the accident! I'm hoping that you are ready and able to enjoy the snow coming! ;o)
ReplyDeleteI know what you are feeling. I usually get a little reminder after I've lifted something heavy. Please take care of yourself (cold pack helps me) and know that we will be here when you can come back.
ReplyDeleteOuch is right! Hope this painful time passes soon. We awoke to snow here in GA this morning....so no work today! Woohoo......snow day!
ReplyDeleteOh, Kim, I'm so sorry you're in pain. No fun at all. Take care and wishing you well. Hurry and get better.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Donna
Sorry to hear about your back pain. I've had lots of problems with sciatica until I found a chiropractor who helped me tremendously. It might be worth a try, if you haven't already. Here's hoping for a quick recovery for you! ~Cheryl
ReplyDeleteO Kim I'm so sorry. I do hope you are better soon. I'll be thinking of you and praying for a healthy back and hip. That stuff hurts.
ReplyDeleteWarmly, ~Melissa

Thank you for taking the time to come by and for leaving me such a sweet comment. I always enjoy my visits here, your love for hydrangeas caused me to fall in love with them, I bought two of them last summer, and am now looking forward to growing them this summer.

HI Kim,
ReplyDeleteSoooooooo sorry to hear about the accident...if you blogged about it and I missed it....I apologize for not checking and commenting on it. I do hope you are okay...oh my...that is so awful. I will say a prayer. I hope you are resting and recuperating like you should. And wow on all that damage...good grief.
I had a syatic nerve problem when I was pregnant with my first child. He was laying in an odd position in the womb and I had to go to a chiropractor a couple of times being 9 months pregnant to get him to move around. It was the WORST pain in my buttocks! and down my leg. I can truly relate to the pain. I couldn't sit or stand to feel better. Bless your heart!
Take care and hope you get back to feeling good again soon. Does heat help or pain killers or muscle relaxers? Thinking of you,
Love,
Tanya
I've been away too long, and I missed that you are hurting. I am so sorry! I remember years ago when my good friend's dad had the same thing. Clearly, I remember how much pain he went through during that time. I can't imagine why a lady as sweet as you has to go through this. I hope by now you have found some relief and comfort.
