This morning I was outside early tending to my garden.
I picked some lettuce and radishes, watered all of the plants in containers, filled the birdbath and did a bit of deadheading where needed.
Once that was done I headed inside for breakfast.
As I was washing the berries I was faced with a tough decision.
It went something like this ...
eat them at the kitchen table that was presently filled with newspapers, crumpled napkins, a magazine and a few coupons or ...
Hmmm. . .
What would you do?
I thought so ;-)
The peonies won't be blooming very long so we'd better enjoy them while we can.
Won't you join me?
Would love to! You certainly made the best choice. Oh, yes, the peonies are another short-lived beauty. Drat!
ReplyDeleteThis beautiful weather draws you outside! I think I'll sit on the balcony and soak up some sun this afternoon. Hopefully we won't get an afternoon storm!
ReplyDeleteI would join you in a flash! Great decision on your part to start the day in such a pleasant way. I sometimes (when the weather is a tad warmer) take my yogurt and fruit to the side porch to watch the robins hop around and listen to the mockingbirds singing. Great mornings!
ReplyDeleteKim, Your white flowers are blooming beautifully. I was noticing your back yard...how green and groomed it looks. Your table looks very much like mine. I love it.

Beautiful breakfast with the peonies! I only have 2 peony bushes that haven't bloomed yet. I think I might like to get more. Love the view of your backyard Kim. I'd love you join you at your table.
ReplyDeleteYour peonies are lovely! Don't you wish they lasted longer?
ReplyDeleteBreakfast with the birdies is always good, right?
No peonies here in south Texas..... they're so beautiful on your table.. I think you made a very wise choice....
ReplyDeleteYour back yard looks absolutely beautiful!!!
Hugs,
I wish I could join you for strawberries out by your peonies.
ReplyDeleteMakes me wish that I lived close by. So much beauty in one place! Your banner, your flowers, your fruit, and the way you share it all. Thanks for the moments of joy that I found here again today.
ReplyDeletePerfect choice! Lovely garden!
ReplyDeleteGood decision. I'd love to join you and maybe some day I'll get down your way and we can! : )
ReplyDeleteEating outside always wins the debate over here...if it is not raining! Your garden looks like the perfect place to enjoy breakfast...or any other meal.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, I agree, eating outside was the correct answer! And your peonies are beautiful! Hope you had a nice day!
ReplyDeleteYep, the same decision I would have made. Your whole yard looks beautiful and green. Who wouldn't want to sit and enjoy it?
ReplyDeleteI love your new banner too. Is it hard to change it?
I'd love to join you in such a beautiful setting. It's cold and rainy here today and the furnace is on. We're hoping for better for the weekend.
