Good Ole Summertime Treats

I'm joining in for the Note Card Party at Vee's Haven today.
For more information on this fun party, click here,
Vee is our gracious hostess who encourages us to sort through the photos we have featured on our blogs and select 4 that we think might be suitable for making into note cards.

July seemed like a good month to re-visit some of my favorite Summertime Treats.

~ My Mom's Fresh Peach Pie ~

It wouldn't be summer without a taste of this family favorite.
The filling is cooked over the stove, but the pie doesn't get baked.  It makes for a really fresh peach taste.

~ Red Velvet Cake with Fresh Berries ~

I made this cake for my in-laws 60th anniversary a few years ago.
One word ~ YUM!

~ Freshly Squeezed Lemonade ~

My sister-in-law lent me her vintage juicer one year.
She said to use it in a blog post so I was obligated to make lemonade :-).

~ Fresh From The Garden Mint Chocolate Cookies ~

One of my favorite combinations is chocolate + mint.
I used some of the mint growing in my herb garden in these cookies.  A little dip into the melted chocolate pot and two words this time ~ YUM, YUM!!

Thanks for visiting
and
Thank You Vee for hosting the party.

Now I'm off to do some visiting.

  14. Lovely summertime goodness!

I made your mint cookies and fell down the stairwell when I was carrying them to friends that evening -- it was very humid and I just went be-bopping all the way down and landed with a splat. No one got cookies that night. :/ That was nearly a year ago. Amazing!

    Have a beautiful day. Tammy

  23. Oh Kim, these pictures make my mouth water! I love pics of fresh fruit in the summer. It's too hard to pick a favorite here, but I do love the first. The pie looks delish, and the pretty vase with hydrangeas is just perfect.

Thanks so much for your visit and your kind comments on my note cards. You'll have to visit Old Salem again and we can meet for lunch. :) Have a great week!

  29. Well, naturually, I just love all of these since they make me feel both summer-ish and homey.

My favorite of all is the one with the pitcher. That's because I am just crazy about the pitcher. I would love something like that!

    Wonderful choices, especially for summer!

  31. You asked in my comments, if they hold house tours, in my old Victorian city. Yes they do, but they are very expensive.

Over the years, I have *managed* to get myself inside some of these lovely old homes, though. :-)

I should do a post, about this topic. With photos of the houses. Thank you for the idea!
