A Little Blog Problem

Because I prefer blog posts that include photos,
here you will find a baby ear of corn which came attached to "mama" corn.  In all my years of buying corn on the cob, this was a first and, therefore, photo worthy.  What does it have to do with my blog topic?  Not a thing.  It's just providing the photo matter for a rather boring post.

Here's the thing...
I think I made a (behind the scenes) mess of my blog and I'm hoping some of my tech savvy friends can help me out here.
The problem:  Recently I decided to delete the e-mail address I set up to go along with my blog.  A very hasty decision that seemed like a good idea at the time.  It wasn't that I didn't want an e-mail address available, I just didn't want to keep up with two of them.
So, I attached my main e-mail address to my blog.

Here's the problem...
Since doing so I am receiving failed delivery notices in my Spam after leaving comments on some blogs.
I'm sure this has to do with my change of e-mail, but I'm not quite sure what it means.  I'm wondering if this is happening to people who receive their comments through e-mail.  Perhaps their e-mail isn't recognizing my address change?

If anybody is able to offer insight into my mystery, I would be ever so grateful.
I tell ya, after six years of blogging, you would think I would be able to figure this out for myself.

  1. I really don't get all that set up stuff because I set up my blog so long ago, too! Google it?
I like that corn! YUM! I've never seen a cob with a baby either!

  2. Interesting photo...

I've not changed my email addy and I'm still getting those messages. It's a compatibility issue or so I've read.

  4. The same thing happened to me, Kim. I got a gazillion "delivery failure" notices, but they finally have stopped. It did take awhile.
    Have a nice weekend!

    1. Thanks for sharing this, Cheryl. I thought for sure it had to do with me deleting my e-mail address. Now I'm thinking maybe not. I guess blogging always keeps us on our toes.

  6. I haven't changed my email, but am having the same "FAIL" problem. For more detail, I wrote about it here: http://sally-drinkingfrommysaucer.blogspot.com/2014/05/a-recent-frustration.html -- and wondered if the issue had to do with the Rafflecopter giveaway that I previously had on my blog. I've had some bloggers say that they cannot see my comments, and some say that they CAN. I'm really confused & cannot see the common thread in the failed messages. Mostly, I have not had time or energy to research the problem. The percentage of fails seems to be low for me -- so I'm trying not to worry about it too much. Does this happen for every comment you leave?

  7. I can relate totally to your post today! I can't tell you how often similar things like this one have happened to me. I wish I could help you in this, but my computer technician son-in-law is just to busy to make a house call:) I really hope you can find a way to correct this problem, so it eases your mind. I can relate!
