Gathering Fall Inspiration

It's been fun to see the little hints of Fall popping up in the blog world.  Some of you are jumping in with both feet when it comes to decorating.  As for me ... just sticking my toe in and thinking about it at this point.  I usually need to feel a nip in the air before I'm ready to bring out all the Fall decor and it's still a bit warm here.  But, it's coming ... I can feel it.
All of this made me remember a mug I found while out thrifting one day last spring.
;;

After a little search through the mug cupboard, I found it.

Recently I placed an order with Keurig for my coffee.
I thought the order arrived in a timely fashion, but Keurig sent me an e-mail saying they'd had some delays in shipping and wanted to offer me a free box.  All I had to do was choose it and it was on it's way... free of charge and free shipping.
I'm not one to turn down an offer like that.
It didn't take me long to decide on Pumpkin Spice.

While I'm dipping my toe into the fall decor waters, it seemed like a good time to marry my new mug with my Pumpkin Spice coffee.
I do believe the smell alone is enough to make me want to stick both feet in.

That lovely, spicy scent as it filled the air is making the anticipation grow.

A new magazine to go along with my coffee  and now the inspiration is kicking in.
Looks like I might not need to wait for that nip in the air after all.

Are you cozying up your nest for fall yet?

  1. Kim, you are a gal after my own heart. I had my first Starbucks pumpkin spice latte (skim of course) on Saturday. It doesn't officially debut until today. I need to order these K-cups pronto! Very pretty mug, too. Still up to the toe here with decorating. xo

  5. Fall is my very favorite time to decorate, but ..... with our 100 degree weather..... I don't feel the urge to decorate.

I buy my Keurig coffee from WalMart, I NEED to check into buying it from Keurig. The fall flavors sound and smell luscious!

    Your mugs are perfect!

  6. What a great mug to enjoy your new coffee from. I am more then ready for the cooler temps that come with Fall, but I have a few projects going that need to be finished before I do too much Fall decorating. I guess I am still just putting a toe in!

  7. I stepped out on my porch in the early morning hour today wishing it would feel like Fall, but the heat and humidity did not do it for me. I am like you, I haven't found the Fall spirit yet. But, the pumpkin spice coffee and your mug helps me get ready for it. That flavor is my favorite in the upcoming season. I find myself looking forward to your Fall decorating.

I'm one that doesn't like coffee, though I do love the smell!
Enjoy your day Kim! : )

  10. It is still hot and humid here in NYC, Kim, but the weather forcast said cool weather will arrive Monday. I'm sure that will put me in the mood for autumn decorating.

I also have a Keurig and I like the GM brand pumpking spice coffee! My all time favorite is hazelnut.

  12. Kim,
As you saw on our post, Yes, I am jumping right nto Fall! Your coffee cup is so nice, and how yummy is that pumpkin spice? Starbucks has the pumpkin spice latte out now, and I want to try it. I bet this magazine has so many Fall goodies to share. Hope you have a good weekend. There is a breeze in the air this morning, but I bet there will still be some hot days.

  14. I have not switched my throw pillows and mantle photos to autumn but God seems to be bustling out fall colors on the mountainsides around my house. With 90 degree days still I am quite surprise to see the fall colors being unveiled daily.

  15. I can't even imagine that Fall would be arriving anywhere in the world when our temperatures are still around 110 every single day. I did notice at school that our Activities Director had decorated the ledge outside her office with some faux Fall foliage. That cup you found is lovely and the flavored coffee sounds delicious. I add a dash of cinnamon or pumpkin spice to my coffee every day when I brew it to make my own flavored coffee. Hope you are having a good week. Tammy

  16. I'm with you... I feel like I should wait 'til the weather feels cools. And some years it's October before that happens. After our LONG hot dry summer, we seem to be getting some cooler air and a bit of rain, which is really nice. So maybe a pumpkin will be in order next week.

  17. Oh I love flavored coffees. John doesn't. We don't have a Keurig so he won't let me put my flavored coffees in the coffee pot. Can you believe it? Really. I may have to break down and go to Starbucks and get a pumpkin latte.
