While my pot of chili was simmering away this afternoon, I was busy adding a few fall touches to the family room. In my mind I had a little theme going on . . .
So, with that theme in mind . . .
I summoned my favorite farmhand (he works for chili :) and we rolled up our sleeves and got busy. We started by filling up his wheelbarrow with a load of fall bounty.
Then we headed out to the garden to harvest the last of the pumpkins. We grow them "sugar coated" around here ;-).
We wrestled the squirrels for a few acorns and proclaimed it a . . .
We're having a little bit of Fall fun over here ~ hope you are too!
Very cute helper you have there, beautiful fall decor. xo
ReplyDeleteI like Lark Rise to Candleford when Flora Thompson speaks of harvest home!
ReplyDeleteYour house looks warm and wonderful!
I love your Harvest Garden sign and all of your pretty decorations. Even though Fall is my least favorite season...it is still a fun time to decorate. We actually had chili yesterday and watched a football game. That really seemed like Fall...even here in Florida! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteI like that first photo...do you have a painting of autumn? It's very nice. You are definitely having a little fun. Hope that the chili was great!
ReplyDeleteWe are! It is cooling off and trust me, it is about time!!
ReplyDeleteYour decorations are fantastic...what a gardener to raise glittered pumpkins!!
So many pretty fall decorations, Kim! I'm in the mood for decorating too. I'm also loving this cooler weather. Chili sounds so good.

I haven't gotten my fall things out yet, but I will in the next day or two. Chili sounds good and your fall decor looks wonderful!
ReplyDeleteThese photos look beautiful! Hope you're enjoying a nice Tuesday!
ReplyDeleteYou always have the cutest decorations for all the holidays and seasons. : )
ReplyDeleteEverything looks great.
Chili is one of my favorite Fall foods. When I read your post, I could not get it out of my mind. And, as always you have the prettiest way of adding Fall touches to your home. Your home looks so warm and inviting.
ReplyDeleteChili...a wheelbarrow full of fall produce...and a little piano music by Mozart...a perfect blend of fall treats.
ReplyDeleteAutumn is such a fun time to decorate! Your home is looking very welcoming for the season. And now I want to make a pot of chili. :-) I made a pot of lentil soup this week and we enjoyed it by our woodstove. Now we can have the leftovers tonight when we arrive at Cranberry Cottage for our weekend.

Glad the squirrels shared their acorns with you. I love the way they look in the bowl.
