Happy Harvest Home

While my pot of chili was simmering away this afternoon, I was busy adding a few fall touches to the family room.  In my mind I had a little theme going on . . .

So, with that theme in mind . . .

I summoned my favorite farmhand (he works for chili :) and we rolled up our sleeves and got busy.  We started by filling up his wheelbarrow with a load of fall bounty.

Then we headed out to the garden to harvest the last of the pumpkins.  We grow them "sugar coated" around here ;-).

We wrestled the squirrels for a few acorns and proclaimed it a . . .

We're having a little bit of Fall fun over here ~ hope you are too!

  3. I love your Harvest Garden sign and all of your pretty decorations. Even though Fall is my least favorite season...it is still a fun time to decorate. We actually had chili yesterday and watched a football game. That really seemed like Fall...even here in Florida! Hugs!

  11. Chili...a wheelbarrow full of fall produce...and a little piano music by Mozart...a perfect blend of fall treats.

  12. Autumn is such a fun time to decorate! Your home is looking very welcoming for the season. And now I want to make a pot of chili. :-) I made a pot of lentil soup this week and we enjoyed it by our woodstove. Now we can have the leftovers tonight when we arrive at Cranberry Cottage for our weekend.

    Hugs from Holland ~
