Double Delight

 ~ Double Delight Rose ~

The first flush of blooms showed up on the Double Delight Rose this week.  It seemed like perfect timing for the upcoming Mother's Day holiday.  Around here the name also seemed appropriate for the events of the weekend.

May 10th found us celebrating the birthdays of these two...
the ones who are responsible for making me a mother :).
Today, May 11th, they will celebrate me.

Now, I'd call that a Double Delight.

And now I'd like to wish all of you a
Delightful Mother's Day.

  1. Happy Mother's Day Kim! I think this may be your first as a grandma, too? I didn't know you had twins! Have a beautiful and blessed day. xo

    1. Thanks, Barbara. Not twins... two years apart...same day.

  2. Wow. Your biological clock is very accurate. One of those handsome guys declares that he is qualified to party so party on! What fun!

  6. How interesting that your two handsome sons were born on the same day. Makes it easier for you to celebrate with only one celebration, and then Mother's Day thrown with it. I never heard of a "Double Delight" rose, but I think it has exquisite beauty.

Hope you had a good weekend!
I enjoyed my visit here, as I always do.

  9. Double Delight...is right! Most special to have both your sons born on the same day...and their birthdays will always fall around Mother's Day.

  11. This is a perfect title for a sweet post, Kim!! Your Double Delight rose is beautiful, and so is your basket of flowers, courtesy of your sons, I'll bet. :) How wonderful that Mother's Day fell a day after their birthdays!

I hope you have a wonderful weekend and enjoy our lovely N.C. weather.

    Warm Hugs,

    Denise at Forest Manor
