My chiropractor recommends drinking a glass of water first thing in the morning. She said it re-hydrates the body and helps those aching body parts move a little more smoothly.
Often while drinking my water I step outside to check out the day's weather. Mornings start on a peaceful note when I take a few moments to breathe in the stillness of the morning air. In that time I also enjoy listening to the birdsong and the calming sounds of the waterfall.
Water is one of those things that, if you've always had it, can be easy to take for granted. However, when I pause to think of all the many times I use water throughout the day I wouldn't want to imagine life without it.
Today I am thankful for fresh water.
I prefer my water in the form of tea. I drink a lot of tea so that's what I'm thankful for today.
ReplyDeleteI never thought about it but water is essential to life itself. It's so important and we never even think about it.
ReplyDeleteGood advice!
ReplyDeleteThat's a nice big glass of water. I only manage four ounces of water first thing upon rising. Gosh I have a hard time drinking water. That said, I would never want to be without good old Adam's Ale.
ReplyDeleteLovely spot to enjoy your morning wake up Kim. I have a glass of very warm water with a quarter of a lemon squeezed in every morning - it's my pre-coffee wake up and know to be a beneficial start to the day.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to the cooler weather this coming week - had enough heat for one year plus my sweaters are calling to me! Did you get to Target for the little white houses by chance? I did light votives in them this evening - so pretty!
Happy weekend Kim.
Hi Mary,
DeleteMy grandma used to drink warm water with lemon. I may have to try that. As for the little white houses, I haven't made it to Target yet. Hope to get there before they no longer have them.
Your morning view is beautiful. I like to drink a glass of water first thing in the morning - I think water is my favourite beverage of all.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip Kim. I drink lots of water all through the day, but now I'll make sure to have a big tall glass first thing in the morning. We are very lucky indeed to have fresh water.
